Swallow Barn comfortably seats 110 guests and is the perfect location for a relaxed country wedding reception. It is a traditional Linhay barn that has been lovingly restored and has an understated rustic elegance, with plenty of windows that allow light to flood in.
The barn’s wood-burner provides warmth if there’s an evening chill in the air and with the fairy lights and hanging tea-light lanterns creates a magical romantic atmosphere. The elevated stage area works well for the top table and afterward for a band or DJ.
The stone walls provide a characterful backdrop, looking wonderful with minimal decorations, but also offer the opportunity to stamp your own style with dramatic decorations. If you’re stuck for ideas, we can help.
The Corn Barn
The Corn Barn is an open fronted Linhay Stone Barn. It is a versatile second covered Reception Area and can be used for drinks, games, nibbles and grazing tables.
Swallow Barn opens out onto a large grass bank where guests can mix over a glass of bubbly, or play games before the meal.
With guests fed and watered the evening entertainment gets under way. Whether it’s a band, disco or ceilidh, guests will love the space and ambiance of the barn.
Outside, alongside the atmospherically uplit Swallow Barn, sit down around the fire pit and enjoy its warmth whilst taking in the Dartmoor views and later on the stars.
