Deep in wild romantic Dartmoor countryside, surrounded by woodland and rolling farmland in the stunning Teign valley, Clifford Barton is a unique rural barn wedding venue set in an idyllic 50 acre nature reserve. We are nestled around a Medieval farmstead combining old world charm with contemporary style and comfort and built on strong environmental values.

At Clifford Barton you have the freedom to create the wedding of your dreams, with your choice of caterer and suppliers, and a high level of flexibility in how you use the different parts of the venue.

We strive to create a relaxed, bespoke and highly personal experience. You have exclusive use of the venue for the weekend from Friday to Monday with up to 32 of your nearest and dearest being able to be stay in stylish, luxury on site accommodation. You’ll  have time to really relax into and enjoy the extended Wedding Weekend experience with your friends and family.

Where will you choose? Bridesmere Bridge, overlooking the lake surrounded by wildflowers; Twixt Tw’oaks, a beautiful tranquil spot in ancient woodland; or the historic open sided Corn Barn.

Swallow Barn, a beautiful light stone barn for is perfect for your Wedding Feast and evening party. The Corn Barn, an open fronted barn, is versatile as a second reception area. In addition our stretch tent offers more covered space and adds to that festival feel. The lawns and 50 acres of nature reserve offer lots of different options for outdoor space for chilling and games, or other ideas that we look forward to hearing about.

You’ll want your friends and family (and maybe your four legged friends) to be with you to extend the celebrations to beyond the wedding. At Clifford Barton up to 34 can stay on site in 3 cottages, bell tents and a off grid glamping love nest for the newlyweds. There is also a camp site next door.

You have the whole weekend to relax with your friends and family in Clifford Barton’s private nature reserve. Enjoy the off grid wood fired hot tub, a BBQ, a riverside walk to the local put for lunch, or just chilling our and catching up with friends under the stretch tent.
