Bridesmere Bridge

The stunning timber framed Bridesmere Bridge overlooks Bridesmere Lake, less than a ten minute wander up a private track between ancient woodland and rolling Devon farmland. Reunite with friends and family lakeside, overlooking wild flowers meadows, with swallows and martins swooping over the lake. Vehicular access is possible for those not up to the walk. If it floats your boat, make an entrance across the lakes on a Stand-up-Paddleboard, guaranteeing a ceremony your guests will never forget.

As well as a uniquely special place to tie the knot, Bridesmere Bridge offers an idyllic backdrop for you and your guests to mix and catch up after your Ceremony. Have drinks served from the quirky Canoe Bar with canapés – or a Devon cream tea.

‘Twixt Tw’oaks

On the track to Bridesmere Lake take a turn to wend your way through native broadleaf trees to discover a truly unique outdoor wedding spot. This is for real nature lovers, wanting to make the most important commitments of their lives immersed in ancient woodland. We’ve made minimal change to ‘Twixt Tw’oaks’ woodland nature – what, afterall, is more romantic than ancient woodland – but have installed a wooden platform set between two large oak trees, surrounded by bird song and dappled light. Guests sit on benches, taking advantage of the rising ground which creates a natural amphitheatre.

The Corn Barn

Set within the main ancient farmyard a stone’s throw from Swallow Barn, the Corn Barn is an attractive, open fronted, stone Linnay boasting huge oak beams. It’s a large, versatile space with gently sloping ground which can be used for a range of activities throughout the wedding, including as a back-up for a Ceremony in case really bad weather rules out Bridesmere Bridge.

Welcome Drinks

Wherever you choose to tie the knot Lakeside welcome drinks and canopes besides Bridesmere Lake are always a hit with guests, and gives you a chance to take advantage of all the great photo opportunities around the lake.
