Small and Micro Weddings
If you wish to make your lifelong promises to each other in a romantic intimate ceremony without an extended Reception, Clifford Barton Weddings offers an idyllic, nature-filled private wedding space for you to tie the knot and spend a few quality hours with your closest people. We offer micro-Weddings for you two plus up to 6 guests. If you would like more friends and family to celebrate with you then we have our Small Wedding packages, for up to 20 or 40 guests.
Your day your way….
Couples who choose Clifford Barton Weddings tend to want to create their own special day, for it to be uniquely personal to them. We have a decade of experience of turning these dreams into reality and love helping our couples design and deliver their perfect wedding.
Ceremony
You and your guests will have exclusive use of the traditional timber framed Bridesmere Pavillion and/or Twix Tw’oaks and the extensive areas around Bridesmere Lake, for up to 3 hours after your Ceremony. You are free to personalise every moment of your special day, and opportunities abound for creating special moments, whether overlooking the lake (rowing across it?), hiding in the willow arbour, soaking up the tranquility of the woodland on Twixt Tw’Oaks, or just hugging at the end of the pier. It’s a wedding photographer’s dream!
Drinks and nibbles…
Clifford Barton Weddings staff will be on hand, if you wish, to serve your celebratory drinks and any nibbles that you choose to accompany your nuptials (we can serve whatever cold food you choose – whether a Fortnum and Mason hamper or some M&S nibbles).
Stay the night…..
An intimate wedding needn’t be brief and Clifford Barton Weddings offers other features that are guaranteed to ensure your wedding day is magical and matchlessly memorable. On your wedding night – or if you’d rather, on the night before, stay in Clifford Barton’s Fingle Love Nest, a luxurious off-grid glamping cabin with breathtaking views over the Teign valley, and spend an evening luxuriating in our off-grid, wood fired, chemical free hot tub which looks out over the Teign Gorge.
Our Micro and Small Wedding packages all include:
- Choice of magical licensed Wedding Ceremony spaces: Bridesmere Pavillion (lakeside) and/or Twix Tw’oaks (woodland).
- Exclusive access to the ceremonial area up to two hours before your Ceremony, should you want to personalise it.
- Chairs and signing table for the couple and chairs for your guests.
- Use of a large, bridal-white, battery operated JBL Bluetooth speaker to play background music throughout your Ceremony.
- Exclusive use of the area around Bridesmere Lake for up to three hours after your Ceremony for celebrating, photographs, picnicking etc.
- Off-grid Fingle Love Nest glamping cabin either the night before or the night after your Wedding day.
- Off-grid wood fired hot tub on the evening before or after your Wedding.
- Unlimited wedding planning advice and support throughout the planning stages, and support to ensure things run smoothly on the day.
- Clifford Barton Weddings staff eg. to serve drinks and nibbles, after your Ceremony. We would be honoured to be your witnesses should you want to limit your special day to just the two of you. Equally, we don’t need to be there if you’d rather keep it private.
- Please note that no Reception spaces, Swallow Barn or the Corn Barn, are included in these packages.
Pricing
Micro and Small Weddings are available Mid-Week (Tuesdays or Wednesdays) and Saturdays and Sundays. Our pricing for 2028, inclusive of VAT, is:
